Child Safety Standards — HerHello

Last updated: October 2026

HerHello is an adult dating application (18+) committed to the safety and protection of minors. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) material or any content that endangers children.

Age Requirement

HerHello is strictly for users aged 18 and over. Every member gives a date of birth at registration, and our server refuses a date of birth under 18. If an account is reported as possibly under 18, or our team has reason to doubt an age, the account is normally paused straight away and can only continue after a person on our team approves a selfie age check. Any account we find to be under 18 is removed.

Prohibition of CSAE Content

HerHello strictly prohibits any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors. This includes but is not limited to: child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming behaviour, or any content that sexualises individuals under 18. Any such content results in immediate account removal. We keep the evidence we hold (the text of the reported messages and the profile as it was) and report it to the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE, run by the Australian Federal Police) and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, and we cooperate with police.

Reporting Mechanisms

Users can report child safety concerns directly in the app by tapping the report button on any profile or message. A report hides the account from Discover and notifies an admin straight away, and reports are reviewed by a person — reports of an underage account first. A report of an underage account also normally puts that account on hold automatically (hidden from Discover, unable to message or call) until it is reviewed. When you report someone you have chatted with — from the chat or from their profile — a copy of the text of the most recent messages in your chat (and links to any photos or voice notes) is kept with the report so a person can see what happened. Any report, including one made from a profile, also keeps the likes, reactions and like notes the two of you sent each other. Our moderators cannot open chats that have not been reported. You can also report concerns by emailing us at support@herhello.com with the subject line "Child Safety Report".

Moderation

Selfie verification is optional, so not every profile in discovery has been verified; verified members carry a badge. Every member must give a date of birth showing they are 18 or older, and our server-side rules refuse a date of birth under 18. Flagged content is reviewed by a person. Accounts found to be operated by or targeting minors are immediately banned, and the evidence is kept and reported to the authorities named above.

Compliance

HerHello complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations. We cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies investigating child exploitation cases.
