HerHello ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and profile photos. If you choose to verify your account, we also collect a live selfie taken inside the app. We also collect messages sent through the app and usage data.
We use your information to verify your identity, create and manage your account, facilitate connections with other members, provide customer support, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Verification is optional. If you choose to verify, HerHello asks you to take a live selfie inside the app. A member of our team compares that selfie to your profile photos and then marks the account verified. We do not collect passports, drivers licences or any other identity document. The selfie is stored securely, is used only for this check, and is never shown to other members.
All data transmitted through our app is encrypted in transit. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorised access.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Our app uses Firebase (Google) for authentication and data storage, and RevenueCat for subscription management. These services have their own privacy policies.
