These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the HerHello mobile application and website (the "Service"), operated from Australia. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use HerHello. By registering you represent that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into these Terms. We may suspend or terminate any account we reasonably believe belongs to a person under 18.
HerHello has two core features: each woman decides who may open a conversation with her, and members may optionally verify themselves. To become verified you take a live selfie inside the app, and a member of our team compares it to your profile photos. You agree that the selfie is of you and is unaltered, and that the photographs on your profile are of you. Using another person photographs, or misrepresenting who you are, is grounds for immediate ban. Verification materials are used solely for this check, are never shown to other members, and are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
After a match, who may send the first message is decided by the woman in that match: she may allow either member to open it, or reserve the first message for herself. Her setting applies to matches made after she chooses it, is recorded on the match, and is enforced automatically. Attempting to circumvent it, including pushing conversation off-platform to avoid it, may result in moderation action.
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms. You must not harass or abuse other users, engage in fraud or scams, solicit money, share sexually explicit content, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose. You are responsible for your interactions with other users; verification reduces but does not eliminate risk, and we do not conduct criminal background checks.
We operate a graduated moderation policy. A first substantiated report typically results in a warning; a second in a final warning; a third — or any severe violation such as threats, explicit content, fraud, or involvement of minors — results in a ban. All moderation actions are recorded in an audit log. Banned users may appeal by emailing support@herhello.com. We may remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion to keep the Service safe.
Premium features may be offered as auto-renewing monthly or annual subscriptions, processed through Apple App Store or Google Play via RevenueCat. Prices are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or the applicable store's policies. Founding-member or promotional premium access may be modified or ended for new users at any time; access already granted to your account will be honoured as described at the time it was granted.
You may delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete Account) or as described on our account deletion page. Deletion removes your profile, photos, messages, match history, and identity verification documents as described there. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms.
You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, profile text, messages) and grant us a limited licence to host, display, and transmit it as needed to operate the Service. You must have the right to any content you upload.
The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, we exclude all implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
